Yvon Pedneault spoke on 91.9 Sports about the possibility of Ben Chiarot leaving for Denver.
The veteran journalist believes that this destination is the perfect fit for Chiarot and he is not in left field. It's true, Chiarot is a perfect fit for the Colorado Avalanche.
Ben Chiarot in left field is much better than a Jack Johnson, who doesn't have the potential he once did. Chiarot is physical, has a ton of leadership, has experience, and then is able to activate the defense.
While not a speed merchant and a big point getter, he is able to put his name on the scorecard with five goals this year.
Don't forget that Chiarot's "big" strength is his $3.5 million contract that runs out at the end of this season. There is a reason he is listed at the top of the most attractive players.
Chiarot is VERY much appreciated by the Montreal Canadiens, he is part of the leadership group, but if the organization really turns to a rebuild, logically, he will have to leave this group. Unfortunately!
