Besides Ben Chiarot, two players could leave Montreal by the trade deadline

No need to repeat it, but we do it anyway: with the arrival of Jeff Gorton, the Montreal Canadiens will quietly change their face. Some veterans should leave so that an official rebuild can begin.
Among the candidates who could leave the team, Ben Chiarot is at the top, but two names have joined him in the showcase, Brendan Gallagher and Tyler Toffoli. At least that's the opinion of Jeff Marek, who believes that "Gally" and "Toff" could leave Montreal sooner rather than later.
Gallagher's contract is a hefty one, with him receiving $39 million for six years, which is a lot for an aging player who is also very magnified. On the other hand, there are solutions to everything in life, let's remember that.
One thing is certain, number 11 wants to win and he has openly said he doesn't want to see a rebuild, so if that becomes the case, he will certainly ask to leave. It will be hard to part with him, but a contending team will certainly want a guy like him in their lineup.
In the case of Toffoli, we can say the same thing as Gallagher because he decided to join the Montreal Canadiens because of his potential. Today, this potential does not exist anymore, so he could ask for a transaction to the new men in place.
In short, I'm not saying that both players will leave, but it is likely that we try to trade them to set the table for the future.
