In a press briefing in the last few seconds, as part of the end of season review, Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price was asked about his future in the NHL.
"Physically, I feel good. I have a few questions to ask my doctor, a few appointments to make to prepare for next season, but there are still a lot of question marks for me. I still have constant swelling in my knee.
My honest opinion is no. I don't believe that the current state would be sustainable for a whole season," Price said when asked if he thinks he can start 55-60 games next season. "In that regard, I got a lot of question marks, and fortunately for me, I've got a lot of time over the summer to prepare, so we'll see." - Carey Price
"I didn't have any answers this week (in New York), yes it crossed my mind that yesterday might have been my last game ever in the NHL. But, I'm not giving up." - Carey Price
Carey Price admits he thought about the fact that this might be his last NHL game before the game against the Panthers. "If this is the end, it was a nice way to do it."
He then added.
"I'm a fighter. I will not give up."

"Carey Price doesn't rule out having surgery another time. He also admits that he prepared yesterday as if he was playing his last game in the NHL, without knowing if that will actually be the case."
- Renaud Lavoie
"I've been a Habs guy my whole life. I feel like it's part of my identity. I love the future of this team. There are some spectacular youngsters and they bring energy." - Carey Price
If the knee can hold, Price still imagines himself in Montreal.
