We spoke to you about it at the end of the week, but it still makes a lot of people react and this story takes more and more importance.
REMINDER OF THE FACTS
Over the weekend, we learned that Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price won the Bill Masterton Trophy for his perseverance.
This is great news and everyone agrees that it is 100% deserved.
However, an employee of the Habs seemed to set the world on fire with this answer:
The point of contention here? The more detailed voting results are out, and they seem to indicate that Price won the trophy thanks to reporters from elsewhere, hundreds of whom voted for Carey.
Yet the vast majority of French-speaking journalists would not have voted for him.
The lack of support (or not) from the Montreal media towards Carey Price in his quest for the Bill Masterton trophy has really made people react.
See here one of the arguments in question:
Canadiens employee sad that Montreal journalists didn't overwhelmingly support Carey Price for the Bill-Masterton Trophy - Price won, by the way.
What a fine understanding of our job. - Simon-O. Lorange
Marc Dumont is the CH employee in question.
Well the subject has come up again, this time on 91.9 Sports radio.
A divisive segment:
I tend to agree, but you be the judge. Are you disappointed to hear about this?
