While many rumors and speculations are currently circulating about his future with the Quebec Remparts, Patrick Roy was present at a press conference in the last few minutes to discuss the matter and to take stock of the situation.
Jacques Tanguay was at his side.
First of all, here are the two highlights:
"Patrick Roy's reflection on his future with the Remparts is not over." - Mikaël Lalancette
So no final decision has been made, at this point.
"It's not out of the question that he will only remain as general manager. My impression (for what it's worth) is that he will be back next year in both positions. ." - Mikaël Lalancette
Interesting! One thing is for sure, this will be a big deal to watch this summer.
See here (and by far) his most interesting answer:
Patrick Roy is giving himself a few weeks of vacation before deciding on his future, but the coach has clearly not yet digested the Remparts' elimination. His most interesting answer at today's press conference
Remember that, according to some rumors, he bought a house in Europe. It's up to you to draw your own conclusions.
Let's also remember what Roy said last week, following the elimination of his team:
"I'm going to take some time to think, for sure. I'm going to sit down with Jacques Tanguay, [the team's president] and we're going to continue to do some thinking about this." - Patrick Roy
He surprised a lot of people by leaving a doubt about his future with the Quebec Remparts. It's still the talk of the town, in any case.
More details to follow!
