Appearing as a guest on the Chris Nilan and Tim Stapleton (another NHL alum) podcast, Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield was asked to comment on his new young teammate Juraj Slafkovsky.
On "The Raw Knuckles Podcast", Caufield mentioned having met Slafkovsky before and added this:
From the outset, Nilan called the 18-year-old Slovakian a real beast, "He's a beast," and then, Caufield followed up by mentioning that he was very impressed with the organization's new acquisition and is very much looking forward to playing with him for the next few seasons. "He's a big guy, I can't wait for him to be with us," Caufield added.
Cole Caufield again recalled that he was really impressed with Slafkovsky at the most recent world championship, and he spotted him immediately. (Slaf was actually named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.)
Listening to Caufield, he seems very happy with the Habs selection and is excited about the idea of playing with Slafkovsky for many years in Montreal. We love it!
