Coyotes would literally ask the Panthers the moon for Jakob Chychrun

Even though they made the Habs look bad on Monday, the Arizona Coyotes are still the second-worst team in the Bettman circuit. That's why several players could jump ship by the March 21 trade deadline.

Among them, defenseman Jakob Chychrun is, by far, the one with the best trade value. After all, even though he's having a rather disastrous season, the 23-year-old defenseman remains one of the most offensively talented defensemen in the league, and his general manager, Bill Armstrong, holds him in very high regard.

The asking price to acquire him would be absolutely insane, as the Panthers would have learned the hard way. Indeed, if we are to believe the rumors that are currently circulating on Twitter, the Panthers would have to simply give Spencer Knight, Anton Lundell, as well as a first round pick in order to add Chychrun to their ranks!

Seriously, has Bill Armstrong fallen on his head? Knight and Lundell are probably the two most promising young players on the Panthers, so adding a first round pick is a price that very few teams would be willing to pay.

In comparison, in order to match this offer, the Montreal Canadiens would probably have to offer Cole Caufield, Kaiden Guhle and a first round pick to the Coyotes. Does that give you an idea? In short, I can't wait to see which general manager is willing to give the Coyotes such a big return, even if it's to get a defenseman like Chychrun.
