A few days ago, we told you about a funny story involving former Canadiens captain Saku Koivu and his teammate and good friend Craig Rivet.

The former defenseman had told this anecdote during his appearance on the Spittin Chiclets podcast and he took the opportunity to tell another one about another of his former teammates, a certain Patrick Roy.

As reported by David Armoni of Marqueur.com, Rivet had been recalled by the Habs a few weeks before the events of Dec. 2, 1995, which led to Roy's departure to Colorado.

Upon his recall, the young defenseman had wanted to make his new teammates laugh in the dressing room by wearing the star goalie's gear. Roy, who had come up from behind to surprise Rivet, played along by pretending to be nothing and even asked him if he enjoyed the experience of wearing his gear.

However, when the two men were alone, Roy looked Rivet straight in the eye and said:

"Don't you ever touch my equipment again!"

At that point the young defenseman had literally frozen, he even mentioned during the podcast that Roy was the scariest player he had ever been around during his career.

Let's just say that Rivet had listened to the instructions of number 33 and he never touched his equipment again, especially since the two players were not teammates for very long with the Habs.

You can actually see a cutaway of that segment offered on the TikTok account of the Spittin Chiclets podcast below.
