The Habs are not playing on Tuesday night. The players will hit the ice tomorrow to face the Washington Capitals in the American capital.
Despite being 36 years old, Alexander Ovechkin is still a formidable opponent and he is showing it again this year. With 30 points in 19 games, he is currently third in the Bettman League in scoring and only two points behind Connor McDavid in second.
CH defenseman David Savard knows what it's like to face the Caps' number 8. He had to face him regularly when he was a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets since the two teams were in the same division.
Savard mentioned that he had to face a few of "Ovi's" shots and it's more or less fun, according to him. It's not hard to imagine!
Let's hope that the Tricolore can pull off a second consecutive win tomorrow night, a feat they haven't accomplished since last May. To do so, the players will have to find a way to neutralize the Capitals' captain who is on fire right now. The game will be presented tomorrow at 7pm.
