Renaud Lavoie appeared before the lenses of TVA Sports to provide an update on the interview with Patrick Roy, the most polarizing situation in Quebec.
According to the TVA Sports insider, Patrick Roy did indeed meet with the Canadiens' committee, and the meeting had been on the agenda for a long time. Molson had also contacted Tanguay to obtain permission to chat with Roy.
When Roy launched via the media that he had still not been contacted by the Habs, it was to protect the Montreal Canadiens since he did not know what he could say it or not. But since the Canadiens told him he could do it without any problems, Roy insisted that Renaud clarify this information.
In closing, if everything goes well during the second interviews, a general manager should be appointed within two weeks. We make sure we do things right at the Montreal Canadiens, which is still the perfect process!
