We learned that the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, would have received, and refused, a serious trade offer (from another team in the league) for Sean Monahan.
Georges Laraque and Maxime Truman spoke about this subject:
It will be interesting to see what happens with this file.
On the other hand, as reported by our colleagues at Fanadians, we also learn here that with regard to Jonathan Drouin and Evgenii Dadonov, the Montreal Canadiens have still not received an offer.
It's rather surprising, but no one seems to want to give them a new opportunity, at least for the moment.
Personally, we still believe that a new start, under favorable circumstances, could do wonders for Drouin. Knowing that his contract expires at the end of this season and that he will be free as a bird, we shouldn't be surprised if he is eventually traded.
But for now, there is reportedly no interest in the trade market from other general managers.
Drouin, 27, drafted third overall in 2013, has four points in 12 games this season.
