Phillip Danault and his wife are currently in Los Angeles to find a home that suits their needs. The couple, who was interviewed by the popular Los Angeles Times, seems really happy to be under the warm California sun. A new life is starting for them, and everything is going on in pure happiness right now.
That said, in the interview, Danault once again indicated how much the Kings wanted to acquire his services. He felt desired, more so than in Montreal, and then he went back to that fact once again.
"I still think I have a lot to give and the Kings saw that too. That's what I liked too. They saw me as I see myself!" - Danault
Isn't this a little bit of a jab towards Marc Bergevin and the Montreal Canadiens, who saw him more as a defensive player? I love Phillip Danault, he is the type of player I admire and who plays a near perfect style of play. However, I feel like he needs to know that he is loved. He needs to be told that regularly. At least that's my observation of this side of Phillip Danault.
Regardless, I really want everything to work out for him. That it works exactly the way he imagines it right now. Danault seems like a very happy man with his decision, which is perfect and important!
