Since he was fired by the Habs last February, the team's former head coach, Dominique Ducharme, has kept a low profile in recent months.
That's about to change:
With training camp is less than a month away, Ducharme was on the brand new BPM Sports morning show hosted by Jean-Charles Lajoie on Monday, and as Charles-Alexis Brisebois of Danslescoulisses.com reports, the former coach of the Canadiens intends to eventually return to the hockey world.
"I'll bounce back, don't worry."
When? We don't know at this point, but let's just say Ducharme isn't in that much of a hurry and is waiting for the right offer at the right time.
In any case, he seems absolutely determined to come back strong, and to return to the National Hockey League. Will it be as an assistant coach? That's to be followed, but don't forget that he has a solid resume.
Ducharme, 49 years old, has to his credit: a Stanley Cup final, a gold medal at the World Junior Championship, a junior championship and a Memorial Cup (among others). That's solid!
That's why he's been waiting for the right offer and why he's turned down a few (three or four), since his dismissal from the Montreal Canadiens.
