Habs head coach Dominique Ducharme will likely make several changes to his lineup for Wednesday night's game against the Capitals.
Indeed, forward Michael Pezzetta, defensemen Mattias Norlinder and Joel Edmundson, and goaltender Samuel Montembeault worked overtime at optional practice this morning, which most likely indicates that they will not be in uniform.
The first two could be replaced by Quebec's Cedric Paquette, who has not been seen since his two-game suspension, and young Finn Sami Niku, but the official decision will be made shortly before the game.
Edmundson is still injured, while Montembeault is expected to start the game on the bench in favour of Jake Allen.
Dominique Ducharme's team, having won their last game 6-3 against the Predators, will have their work cut out for them if they are to stop Alexander Ovechkin, who is having one of the best starts of his career.
