The Habs formed three groups for today's practices, and the first group included Jonathan Drouin, Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson, who obviously formed a trio. This combination is the second one for the Montreal Canadiens since Tyler Toffoli should be on the first one and Mike Hoffman and Brendan Gallagher are absent.
Honestly, this is a very sexy second unit. It could do a lot of damage if it stays intact between now and the start of hostilities. An ace passer, a guy who knows how to score from the slot and a horse who loves to work the boards. On paper, it's a tasty recipe, isn't it?
It's truely pretty!
That said, another interesting trio was formed by Dominique Ducharme, namely the one composed of Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Jake Evans and Joel Armia. No doubt, if Gallagher and/or Hoffman don't come back soon, "RHP" is one of those who could carve out a spot with the team, as he is a perfect winger to complete a 4th line in the NHL.
Just like that, Kaiden Guhle found himself on the left of David Savard, while Ben Chiarot could count on the young Mattias Norlinder. Interesting! We're giving these two youngsters a chance to shine.
