Yesterday, during the show hosted by Jean-Charles Lajoie on TVA Sports, Marc-André Perreault reported that Brendan Gallagher was absent from the Montreal Canadiens' environment. At that time, the excellent journalist of TVA Sports thought that "Gally" was still hobbled because of the playoffs.
This is not the case. The number 11 is absent for family reasons and not to conclude his rehabilitation. It's good news that he's not injured, but it's still worrisome. At least, until he is back with his band mates.
According to the information that is circulating, Gallagher should return quickly to the Tricolore. Let's hope so because with Hoffman, Price, Edmundson, Byron, Brook and Teasdale, there are several absentees at the camp, many of them big.
Gallagher remains a very important spice for his team, even more so during the absence of Shea Weber and Paul Byron, two pillars of this team in terms of leadership.
