Dominique Ducharme is a master at managing emotions, always managing to keep his calm on the post-game press box. He really isn't the type of individual to make a show of himself only to see his "clips" end up on social media a decade or two later.
In fact, following the 6-2 loss to the Islanders, the head coach of the Red, White, and Blue, without naming any names, evoked a certain famous statement by Guy Carbonneau. A speech that has been excessively popular for 20 years on YouTube.
"It's frustrating, but I won't come in front of you and give a show. I don't want to be on YouTube for 20 years," said Ducharme.
For those of you who don't remember the clip in question involving Guy Carbonneau or have simply never seen it, here it is:
Ducharme chose his words well, taking the time not to respond impulsively. But you could sense a frustrated coach who is tired of repeating a speech, chewing and rechewing. It makes you wonder if there will be a real click in this locker room in need of leaders.
It's sad, but that's it!
