Eight Canadiens Players Could be Leaving the Organization today
On the day after the 2023 NHL Draft, it's another big day for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
Today is the deadline to qualify restricted free agents (RFAs). This means that any RFAs who are not qualified by 5 PM today will officially become unrestricted free agents.
Qualifying Offers
Here are the players to watch for on the Canadiens:
We fully expect Newhook, Harvey-Pinard, and Ylönen to be qualified, but for the others, it remains to be seen.
Gurianov's Future Unknown
There are rumors circulating that Gurianov may not be qualified.
Any players on the above list who are not qualified by 5:01 PM will become unrestricted free agents and can explore opportunities elsewhere. However, they may also choose to re-sign with Montreal later on.
Just know that as of 5:01 PM, they will no longer be property of the Canadiens.
Stay tuned today for updates!
