During last night's Detroit Red Wings vs. Vancouver Canucks game, Filip Zadina took a questionable hit from Conor Garland. The Canucks forward used his back to check Zadina directly in the face.
The Wings' number 11 obviously didn't appreciate the move.
When asked how he felt about the situation, Zadina took the opportunity to add fuel to the fire by spiking his rival.
"I was trying to get the puck and he hit me with a reverse check, I guess. For the midget that he is, it's pretty normal for him to use those kinds of tactics, because I don't think he's strong enough to just battle me one-on-one in the corner," Zadina told the media after the game.
The takeaway from all of this is that Zadina is barely taller than his attacker at 6 feet. While Garland stands at 5 feet 10 inches, which is only two inches shorter than Zadina.
The Czech forward clearly reacted in anger, he must have been very proud of the situation. Will Garland be able to answer him? To be continued...
