In the last few minutes, we have learned that former Canadiens forward Cedric Paquette is officially leaving Montreal.
In fact, he has decided to leave North America, to sign a contract in the KHL with Dinamo Minsk.
This is a surprise for many, for reasons we know well, but we wish Cedric the best of luck in his new challenge.
Paquette, a 29-year-old Gaspé native, had two assists in 24 games with the CH last season and added nine goals and one assist (10 points) in 14 games with the Laval Rocket.
More details to follow.
