Recently, the city of Phoenix would have launched a lawsuit against the city of Tempe, in order to cancel the agreement reached between Tempe and the Coyotes regarding the construction of a new arena.
This would thus be a settling of scores between the two cities.
To add another layer to this story, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was supposed to hold a press conference last week in Tempe.
However, it would have been postponed due to acts of vandalism, after the words "Vote no!" were written in graffiti in several places around where the famous conference was to be held.
Despite this story, the results of the vote on the construction project of an arena are still scheduled to be revealed next month.
In short, this saga is taking a rather unusual turn, and it is another setback for the Coyotes, as the future of the organization is very uncertain these days.
Bettman, however, seems to be determined to support this rather struggling organization. Will this stubbornness last forever? To be continued...
