Gerard Gallant explained the reason for his dispute with Mika Zibanejad

On Sunday night, the New York Rangers defeated the Buffalo Sabres 5-4, and then at the end of the hotly contested duel, there was a shouting match between Gerard Gallant and Mika Zibanejad. A scene that we rarely see, that is to say, a coach who shouts so severely with one of his players.

Here is the sequence in question:

After the game, Gallant, during his press conference, explained what happened between him and his star player.

"I said to Mika, there's 0.4 seconds left, the game is over. Leave the referee alone."

Here's the explanation from the head driver, who is always so emotional behind a hockey bench:

It was kind of funny to see the two men stubbornly sticking to their guns while everyone else was celebrating this win with only dust left on the clock.
