After 272 games in the National Hockey League, Mark Barberio has decided to leave for Europe in 2020 to join the Lausanne HC in the Swiss-A.
Among his 272 games, Barberio played 56 in the Montreal Canadiens' uniform. The Sainte-Flanelle sent him on waivers in February 2017 and he was claimed by Joe Sakic and the Colorado Avalanche, with whom he has done well.
That being said, last weekend, Mark Barberio, considered a repeat offender, broke Garrett Roe's jaw with a nasty hit to the chin with a stick. Seriously, the hit in question is pretty "savage".
According to information filed by reporter Stephan Roth, Roe has already gone under the knife and will be out for several weeks as a result of this savage hit!
