The Trois-Rivières Lions were in action again last night. They were playing against the Newfoundland Growlers. Eric Belanger's team lost the curtain raiser by a score of 6-3 on Thursday night.
Unfortunately, Trois-Rivières fans saw their favorites lose again by a score of 3 to 1 last night. However, they did get to see a great play from Arsen Khisamutdinov, a Russian prospect for the Canadiens.
The CH's 2019 sixth-round pick served up a whole cup of coffee to the Growlers' defenseman before unleashing a perfect shot to score in the top corner.
It was a second point in as many games for Khisamutdinov. He is currently the Lions' leading scorer.
The Lions' next game is on Tuesday, when they play the Growlers for a third time. Hopefully the third time will be the charm for the Rocket's farm team.
