In the last few hours, there has been a real tragedy near Toronto when a 73-year-old man allegedly killed five people in a shooting at a condominium.
The events occurred Sunday night in Vaughan, near Toronto. The suspect was shot by police and was a resident of the building.
An event of infinite sadness for all those affected and their loved ones. One of the things we have just learned is this:
"One of the victims of the tragedy that occurred on Sunday, in Vaughan, is Vittorio Panza. He was the maternal grandfather of Leafs defenseman Victor Mete.
The Leafs released this statement: "The Toronto Maple Leafs are shocked and saddened by the tragedy that occurred in Vaughan on Sunday. Our thoughts are with Victor and his family, as well as all the families and friends of those affected, and to the local community." - Terry Koshan
Our thoughts are sincerely with all those affected by this unspeakably sad event.
We are without words...
