We told you about it last night, at the very end of the game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Capitals, the forward Lars Eller hit Jesperi Kotkaniemi hard and many judged the move as very questionable.
Watch the sequence in question here:
Eller was effectively ejected from the game immediately, while Kotkaniemi slowly had to retreat to his team's locker room. He looked really shaken up.
After the game, during the post-game press conferences, head coach Brind'Amour mentioned that he had a discussion with the doctors and with Kotkaniemi... The result: Kotkaniemi is not doing well at all after this hard blow.
"I don't know exactly to what extent yet, but it doesn't smell good. He's not doing very well." - Rod Brind'Amour
Recall that in the end, the Hurricanes won this game by a 6-1 count.
