Jesse Ylonen was recalled by the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday morning because Christian Dvorak will need some rest.
D-Vo injured his lower body during the second period on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 25-year-old center will not be able to participate in today's practice.
It is following a check, where his leg took the heat, that he injured himself to join the bench in pain. He immediately went to the locker room and did not return to the game afterwards.
Since the start of the campaign, Dvorak has 12 points, including five goals, in 27 games. He also has a minus-13 rating.
In the case of Ylonen, who has only played one NHL game so far, he has 14 points this year with the Laval Rocket. He deserved the recall, as he has all the makings of an NHL player.
