Jake Allen, Ben Chiarot and Artturi Lehkonen are three veterans who can't be blamed for a lack of effort. All three men give everything they have in every game, but that stuff doesn't seem to motivate the rest of the unit.
After Saturday night's game, which was a 7th consecutive game for Allen, he didn't mince words, pointing to the shitty culture in the locker room. Through his words, we immediately understand that it is not going well in the current environment of the team.
Allen pointed out the culture and the veterans, he seems really disgusted with what is going on in this team. The atmosphere is heavy, it's even more obvious since Allen's speech.
He also expressed his love for the Blues and the city of St. Louis, showing that he is not comfortable with the current dynamic.
Anyway, it's really sad for Allen, who had put a lot of money on the board in order to defeat his former team... but his teammates decided not to stand up and offer a remarkable effort to accomplish it all.
