Jeff Gorton just got a boost from the NHL and the NHLPA

With cases of COVID-19 on the rise in the NHL, the league is having to adjust every day accordingly. Rosters are literally being decimated by the ravages of the virus.
League officials will have to make decisions that will help the schedule run smoothly.
According to Elliotte Friedman, the NHL and the Players' Association are currently working to reinstate the taxi squads until the All-Star Game.
The taxi squad could have certain rules, like not having to go through waivers when recalled to the NHL.
Teams will also be able to make emergency recalls of players who make less than $1 million.
Teams will also have the freedom to add a goalie to their roster if they have less than two goalies available.
Jeff Gorton will have some leeway if the COVID-19 hits the Montreal Canadiens hard.
