In the last few seconds, the Winnipeg Jets just announced the signing of veteran forward Sam Gagner. (one year contract worth $750,000)
Gagner, 33 years old had 31 points in 81 games in 2021-2022. (A five-year high for him) He also reached the 500 career point plateau. (and could reach the 1,000 game mark this year)
He is also known as John Tavares' best friend and for this reason in particular, many experts expected him to sign with Toronto.
He still comes back to Canada, in the end, but to Manitoba.
More details will follow!
