Despite being hit by injuries again, Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin is slowly building towards a solid season (50 points per 82 games)

He is on a solid 12 points in 12 game sequence, following a 3-point performance last night against the Chicago Blackhawks. With less than three weeks to go before the NHL trade deadline, let's just say it comes at a good time.

He had a lot to say on the subject:

This season, Drouin has 17 points (17 assists) in 31 games.

He recently lost his first goal of the season and is still looking for his first goal in over a year.

With his three assists on Tuesday night, he joined an intriguing list of NHL history that includes Marcel Dionne and Mathew Barzal.

Check out the list of players with the most assists in NHL history before scoring their first goal of the season:

Interesting statistic!

Drouin is now five assists away from joining Alex Delvecchio (1969-70) as the most assists in NHL history before scoring his first goal of the season.

Mathew Barzal's streak is over and he is already at 14 goals scored.

At the rate he's been collecting assists lately, he could break that all-time record this week or next.

That being said, we still wish him to finally find the back of the net! He really deserves it.

Drouin, 27, has 0 goals and 17 assists this season (31 games) and 6 goals and 14 assists last season (34 games).
