Tuesday night's game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Montreal Canadiens was the first time Max Domi faced his former teammates in a packed arena since his departure following the 2019-2020 season. For the occasion, the organization has prepared, as the tradition requires, a nice video tribute to him.

Many criticized the lack of enthusiasm of the main interested party, who did not even raise his eyes to the board. It was only when his teammate pointed out that he was on the screen that he quickly greeted the crowd.

The main interested party however wanted to explain, after the game the reason for his non-reaction. He says he simply missed the whole thing. He also took care, via his Twitter account, to thank the local supporters.

"Totally missed this live video. Thank you so much for the warm welcome from the Canadiens fans. So many great memories in MTL and it was truly an honor to wear that jersey for 2 seasons! I love you guys and wish you all the best! Thank you Montreal!"

This kind of situation raises the question of whether the CH should really do this kind of tribute to all the players who return to the city? While Domi's time with the club was highlighted by his 72-point season, in 2018-2019, he will still have only played 153 games in a Red-White-Blue uniform...

"At the rate the #Habs are doing tribute videos for players who have played between 80 and 130 games with the team, it's only a matter of time before players sent to the minors get a tribute video."
