Jonathan Drouin has just dropped a little bomb by indicating that Shea Weber was retired. It's a funny way to announce it, isn't it?
It should be noted, however, that he took the trouble to add that it hadn't been made official, but that it amounted to the same thing since the number 6 wasn't coming back... Ouch!
Right now, he seems to be recruiting and working with Marc Bergevin, according to Jo Drouin's poignant statements.
Not surprisingly, Paul Wilson brought everyone back to order by stating that Shea Weber was on the long term injured list and that he had not signed any papers to that effect (retirement). That's normal!
But, whatever you think, Shea Weber's retirement is disguised to avoid a penalty to the Nashville Predators. At least that's my opinion on the matter.
Anyway, I guess Jo Drouin got a slap on the wrist after his press conference.
