As training camp gets underway, many are eager to see the CH's newcomers like Kirby Dach. Kirby was acquired this summer following two transactions, one of which included Alexander Romanov, is hoping to bounce back after a few difficult years in Chicago.
His former teammate and captain with the Blackhawks, Jonathan Toews, doesn't seem worried about the young forward taking off with the CH. During his press conference, the captain mentioned that he didn't like the transactions involving DeBrincat and Dach because he sees the potential of both young men.
"Jonathan Toews said he was initially angry about the DeBrincat and Dach trades, but that he has come around, respects and understands what Kyle Davidson is doing.
Toews said Dach still has a lot of potential and "probably never quite got his chance in Chicago."
Toews believes Dach has tremendous potential, and he practically saw him as his replacement.
That's quite a vote of confidence Toews is giving Dach. By the way, former player agent David Ettedgui strongly believes that this line could motivate the CH newcomer to the max.
If Ettedgui is right and the young man had a good season, there is no doubt that the 4-year contract with an average annual value of $3,362,500 on the mass could very well become a bargain!
Dach dazzled the crowd on Friday with a great move in an intrasquad game!
A file to follow in the next few days.
