Major announcement from Gary Bettman regarding young Logan Mailloux: Montreal Canadiens fans are still waiting for the verdict
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Montreal Canadiens' young prospect, Logan Mailloux, was finally scheduled to meet with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman in July to determine his future in the NHL.
Today, on August 3rd, as Max Truman rightly mentions, there has been no news about this meeting.
No news is good news, as they say.
"Logan Mailloux was supposed to meet with Gary Bettman and the NHL in July.
It's August now.
I imagine it went well." - Truman
Furthermore, it seems increasingly evident that this meeting was merely a formality. We certainly hope so because young Mailloux has made significant efforts to earn this second chance.
Significant work for the NHL Communications team
It's important to note that the NHL is soon expected to announce two verdicts.
Firstly, a decision on whether Logan Mailloux will be allowed to play in the NHL next year.
Secondly, the sanctions related to the 2018 Team Canada Junior incident. In this case, five players could be subject to major suspensions, including some well-known names.
So, it's a situation to keep an eye on! An announcement is imminent.
