Major announcement from the Canadiens regarding Brendan Gallagher and the rumor is confirmed
Based on the Montreal Canadiens' most recent update on the matter, all indications were that forward Brendan Gallagher would be able to return to the game relatively quickly.
However, for the past few hours, a rumour has been circulating that his injury is much more serious than expected and that he will have to miss a good deal more time.
Well, it is now confirmed. See the last minute statement from the CH organization:
Brendan Gallagher will be sidelined for a minimum of six weeks due to a lower-body injury.
We are talking about a MINIMUM of six more weeks. So it could be much longer, and according to the information that is circulating, we should probably not expect to see Gallagher back in uniform before, at least, March.
