Major release from Darren Dreger: Devils about to trade their second overall pick?
According to the information just published by the excellent Darren Dreger (TSN), there is a lot of talk right now about a possible monster trade between the New Jersey Devils and the Arizona Coyotes, and the second overall pick would be involved!
"A lot of speculation is linking Chychrun to Ottawa's 2nd and possibly 7th pick. The Senators seem less likely because of their LD, but anything is possible. The Devils could use Chychrun." - Darren Dreger
TSN's tipster was adding to this, following a post by Bruce Garrioch (Ottawa) who mentions that the most active teams right now, the ones on the phone to possibly trade their first round pick, are: New Jersey (2nd), Arizona (3rd), Ottawa (7th) and the Islanders (13th).
When Dreger talks about speculation, he's not talking about baseless "speculation" from fans. He's talking about real information that is circulating behind the scenes.
