In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization has made a major announcement.
Three players are placed on the injured list and one player is placed on the long-term injured list.
MONTREAL -- The Canadiens placed forwards Joel Armia (upper-body), Jake Evans (lower-body) and Juraj Slafkovsky (lower-body) on injured reserve on Tuesday.
All three players will be sidelined indefinitely and evaluated more thoroughly in the coming days.
Meanwhile, forward Sean Monahan was placed on long-term injured reserve with a lower-body injury. He is continuing his on-ice rehab by himself and progressing well. In Monahan's case, it's certainly surprising, but we're told he's continuing his on-ice training solo.
As for Slafkovsky, with what we heard this morning (season over?), it is certainly not encouraging, but let's wait and see.
