They have just added fuel to the fire and not just about.
Trade market shakeup.
The Canucks truly seem to be on their way to making some major changes. According to reports from Sportsnet's reputable Elliotte Friedman, there is only one player who is untouchable in the eyes of team officials, and that is Elias Pettersson.
This means that, to everyone's surprise, not only are Brock Boeser, Bo Horvat, JT Miller, Conor Garland and Andrei Kuzmenko available on the trade market, but so is dynamic defenseman Quinn Hughes. Wow!
Like most of the fan base, Montreal Canadiens fans are hoping to see their favorite team in this derby, but hey, to be continued!
One thing is for sure, the Habs are sorely lacking an offensive defenseman like Hughes right now in their club. We're talking about a back who can completely transform a power play and a defensive squad.
Not to mention that Quinn Hughes would fit perfectly in Martin St-Louis' system of play, and moreover, let's remember that the organization could here repair the mistake of 2018, when Jesperi Kotkaniemi (3rd pick overall) was preferred to Hughes (7th pick overall) by the CH.
Let's not get too carried away. Hughes could inquire, but the price will be huge and it would be surprising to see him land in Montreal.
We especially wanted to mention that a huge news just came out in the hockey world, as Quinn Hughes would be available on the trade market. This is huge and something to watch out for.
