Yesterday, the Golden Knights traded goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to the Chicago Blackhawks for Mikael Hakkarainen.

According to Marc-Andre Fleury's agent, Allan Walsh, no member of the Golden Knights' staff notified the goalie that he had been traded to Chicago. He would have learned the news via Twitter. Moreover, according to Walsh, Marc-Andre Fleury will take time to think about his future in hockey, due to family reasons. Retirement is a possibility.

Fleury did not comment on the situation in depth, on the contrary, he had only good words for the Golden Knights fans and his teammates. However, at no time did Fleury thank the Vegas organization, which is quite legitimate, considering all that the staff has put him through since last year.

"I wanted to thank all the Vegas fans and my teammates for the last four years, which have been incredible. You have embraced me and my family from day one and have filled every moment I have played in the Fortress (Golden Knights' arena) with joy. We will truly miss playing in Vegas, I feel truly grateful for the time I spent in your city."

As usual, "MAF" reacted with great class, which makes him true to form. A superior human being.

Despite everything, Marc-Andre Fleury enjoyed his time in Nevada, he will remember a lot of positive. We wish him all the best for the future, whether it is in retirement or in Chicago.
