Since the end of the season, many experts and observers believe that the Montreal Canadiens' organization should hire another experienced coach to assist Martin St-Louis.

One candidate in particular has raised his hand:

Why all the rumors and speculation about a new assistant coach? We may (finally) have the answer today.

Martin St-Louis could be in for a big loss, to the Chicago Blackhawks:

"The @NHLBlackhawks have asked permission from the @CanadiansMTL to meet with Luke Richardson for the team's head coaching job. @frank_seravalli was the first to report the news. @TVASports" - Renaud Lavoie

What St. Louis will need as a rookie head coach is more experience and more help alongside him, not less.

It would definitely be a big loss for Martin St. Louis and the CH, especially since Richardson is extremely well-liked and respected. (The Hawks' interest is proof of that) He is a great ally for the Tricolore's new head coach.

Let's also remember the leading role he played last year during the Montreal Canadiens' historic playoff run, especially when Dominique Ducharme was sidelined due to the virus.

More details to come.
