Michel Therrien was a genius where Dominique Ducharme has trouble

Former head coach Michel Therrien had his flaws, but he was able to adjust during a hockey game. When a player gave it to him, Therrien had no hesitation in giving him quality ice time.

As for Dominique Ducharme, the CH coach seems to have a very different mentality. Even if one of his players seems to be in his game, Ducharme stubbornly sticks to his original plan.

Let's take the Tricolore's most recent game as an example. Last night against the Red Wings, Ryan Poehling looked comfortable on the ice. The forward was moving well and even got his first goal of the season with a great shot.

Despite this, Ducharme would not reward his young player. Poehling finished the game with 12:35 of playing time and a 50% success rate in the face-off circle.

Why not use him more instead of Christian Dvorak? Dvorak has had a terrible start to the season, posting a minus-16 rating after 16 games.

Despite this, Ducharme continues to use Dvorak in every game for more than 20 minutes in most games.

Isn't it time for Ducharme to reward those who are on a good streak? After all, giving more experience to a youngster like Ryan Poehling would certainly not hurt.

With a 4-10-2 record, the coach needs to send a clear message to his players. If you don't show up, you won't get any ice time.

In short, I can't wait to see if the head coach will cut his bench for the next few games.
