While the bad news seems to be piling up for Montreal Canadiens fans over the last few days, especially in terms of serious injuries to important players like Brendan Gallagher and Kaiden Guhle, there is a good one this morning.
Mike Matheson is back at practice with his teammates. (wearing a non-contact jersey) It's really encouraging to see a return to action.
"Matheson OFFICIALLY back with teammates (non-contact)."
- Marc-Andre Perreault
This will be a major reinforcement to the defensive core.
See the official announcement of the CH organization, which confirms it all:
"Mike Matheson is participating in morning practice with the team. He is wearing a non-contact jersey."
- Montreal Canadiens
More details to follow.
