The Montreal Canadiens placed forward Adam Brooks on waivers, with the aim of sending him to the Laval Rocket. At the same time, the Habs placed forward Mike Hoffman on the injured list.
Brooks played only four games with the Habs, collecting one assist and a -1 rating. If he is not claimed, he will be a major asset to the Laval Rocket's offense.
The Habs had no choice but to send someone down if they wanted to add Cayden Primeau to their lineup and there was no question of losing depth on defense.
