Mysterious publication about the Canadiens: new information surfaces about Jake Allen

Last night, ESPN, NHL Network and TSN tipster Kevin Weekes played with Montreal Canadiens fans with a series of mysterious posts.
Most notably, this one:

It hinted at an important announcement to come regarding a Montreal Canadiens goalie, and he finally posted this:
Anyway, as you know, this morning the Canadiens announced the signing of young goalie Cayden Primeau, but Weekes was talking about Jake Allen here.
New information surfaces.
In the last few minutes, it was Andy Strickland's (Fox Sports) turn to report that the CH and Jake Allen are indeed in the midst of intense negotiations for a contract extension.
Strickland added that it's still preliminary at this point, but both sides are absolutely committed to getting this done fairly quickly.
He too is talking about a multi-season contract extension.
Jake Allen really loves Montreal, so this is an easy decision for him. Allen, 32, maintained a 9-20-4 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and .905 save percentage in 35 games last season.
He will earn 2.875 million this season, and next summer his current contract expires. This is a file to follow closely and more details will follow!
