Since his departure for Pittsburgh, few Canadiens fans seem to miss Jeff Petry. The number 26 had a difficult season in 2021-2022 and was a distraction to the team, especially because of his family situation due to the health constraints in place last year.

But it wasn't just the players who found Petry rather temperamental and as reported by Keven Mawn of Fanadiens.com, former Montreal Canadiens equipment manager Pierre Gervais revealed some aspects that showed the defenseman could be temperamental at times.

In an interview with Mario Langlois on 98.5 FM, Gervais said that Petry was the most skate-sharpening sensitive player he's ever been around during his time with the Habs

"Jeff was really sensitive, even though we had the elite sharpening machine. It was almost perfect (the machine). He wasn't whining, it's just that there was always a little something. You know, he'd get on the ice, and it's like he was looking for lice."

Afterwards, Langlois drew a parallel with this story and the way the defenseman had trouble handling pressure last year, and let's just say that Gervais was in complete agreement with this remark of the host.

"Yes, he's a guy who is ultra sensitive. He's allergic to a lot of things. With his equipment, he's very sensitive. With his gloves, if there's a little seam in the bottom of a finger.... He feels everything, everything, everything. He's super polite, super thin and zero arrogance, but the guy, you see he feels everything."

In every sport, there are always sensitive athletes, and it certainly seems that the former Canadiens is one of those.
