Next Habs GM : Louis Jean provides details
During his daily column on the "Time Out" podcast with Alexandre Picard, analyst Louis Jean revealed some juicy information about the hiring process for the Montreal Canadiens' new GM.
We know that last week, the candidates targeted by the organization received a first interview. The second round of interviews including the remaining participants started on Monday.
"The second round [of interviews] starts today [Monday] and I know that candidates are meeting with the Montreal Canadiens. When I try to get information, there are so many people saying extremely different things."
*He says the Montreal Canadiens will know the identity of their new GM by next week.
He is also eager to see who will ultimately choose the lucky one.
"I expect the next general manager to be named within the next week and a half."
"I'm looking forward to seeing if in this whole process we're going to allow Jeff Gorton to have and go get the man he wants to work with or is it going to be more of a collective decision by the committee."
What does that mean?
Get ready, because we will know the identity of Jeff Gorton's partner very soon. One might even say sooner rather than later in this case.
