Many Montreal Canadiens fans would really like to see him back in the blue-white-red uniform and sign with the Tricolore.
A few weeks ago, at the end of the Devils' season, Subban posted a message (on social media) to thank the Devils' organization, Devils' fans, and his teammates.
Everything indicated that his journey there was over, especially since his GM almost confirmed it publicly. Unfortunately, they had no intention of offering Subban a new contract.
THERE IS NEWS
While we really expected Subban to leave New Jersey, the tide may be turning.
According to information from the excellent reporter Ryan Novozinsky, who covers the Devils, P.K. Subban's teammates have made quite a move for him.
While some still believe he is a bad teammate, we now have irrefutable proof to the contrary.
According to effectively Novozinsky, and as reported by Keven Mawn, New Jersey Devils players will do everything they can to try to convince the organization to offer him a new contract.
Some of the Devils' impact players have already met with their GMs, to that effect, and that could be a game changer.
If PK Subban finally re-signs in New Jersey, it will be because of his teammates, who recognize what he can bring as a veteran and as a leader. That's really no small thing!
More details to follow.
