For some time now, there has been a debate in the media as to who the CH should select with their first overall pick. None of Shane Wright and Juraj Slafkovsky seem to be unanimously agreed upon to go first on July 7th at the Bell Centre.
On this subject, former NHLer Georges Laraque seems to have made his choice. For him, the CH should choose Slafkovsky, who is everything that a power forward represents!
He would be my first overall pick! Size, speed and skills, true power forward!
This debate won't end anytime soon. Even after the announcement of the selection of the 1st overall pick, the comparisons will continue and it will take several more years to see if the CH made the right choice or not between the two men. And that's if they select one of these two players...
Will Kent Hughes settle the debate by acquiring the Devils' 2nd overall pick by then? It is possible, we can however dream...
