Sometimes you learn a piece of information that allows you to make plenty of inferences about events that have unfolded in recent months.

That's what happens with Danny Gélinas' revelation, slipped into a column in the Eastern Voice Saturday morning.

Last spring, when everything was not going so well for the Habs, President Geoff Molson met with Patrick Roy twice.

Is this enough to prepare Marc Bergevin's succession as GM of the Habs?

We don't know, but it's a big possibility.

Basically, the long playoff run has allowed Dominique Ducharme to earn a full-time position.

And to Marc Bergevin, possibly to stay in place, somewhat to the surprise of his own boss.

But with recent events, it's hard not to have a doubt about Geoff Molson's intentions.

After all, how can we explain that, since the draft, we hardly see Geoff Molson around the Canadiens anymore?

Usually, in the most difficult moments, such as the announcement regarding Carey Price, he has always been by Marc Bergevin's side to support him.

The tone was set at this press conference when Paul Wilson said, without warning, that the contractual status of the GM would be discussed at the end of the season.

Is everything already decided?

We will know soon!
